SEATTLE, WASHINGTON - November 26, 2024 - Sabey Data Centers, a premier designer, builder and operator of multi-tenant data centers, announces that it will participate in the upcoming Advancing Data Center EHS 2024 event. Shawn Mann, Safety Manager - West (Regional) for Sabey Construction and Sabey Data Centers, will present in two seminars at the summit, which takes place in Dallas, Texas on December 4-5, 2024. 

Advancing Data Center EHS 2024 aims to provide a platform for leading Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professionals to connect and discuss cultivating a safety-first culture in the digital infrastructure landscape through proactive safety measures across the full data center project lifecycle. Mann will speak in a morning seminar on the second day of the event as well as participate in an afternoon panel alongside industry experts that same day. During the morning seminar, titled “Evaluating Best Practices During Commissioning to Minimize Electrical Incidents,” Mann will discuss the hazards associated with first time energization as well as delving into proactive methods of building safety into pre-construction planning, empowering data center development teams to lead with EHS in mind.

During the afternoon panel, titled “Exploring the Future of EHS Programs in Mission Critical Environments,” Mann and fellow industry EHS leaders will examine the evolution of incident types and rates in the data center market and assess the roots of these incidents to offer accessible methods of reporting and preventing risk. This conversation carries significant implications for the future of EHS in the industry as data center demand and workload grows.
